Fortune's Favor solitaire rules (1 deck of cards)<< Fortress | Forty and Eight >>
Goal: All 4 aces are set out. Build them up to king in the same suit.
Build the 12 piles of the layout down in the same suit. You can only move one card at a time. Empty piles can only be filled from the deck.
Turn over one card at a time from the deck, playing the top card to other piles when you can.
Also known as: Fortune's Favorite, Fortune's Favors, Son of Fortune
Variation of: Simplicity
Difference: The starting rank is always ace, and all 4 dealt. The layout is built by matching suits rather than alternating suit color. Spaces are filled only from the deck.
This is very much a 1-deck version of Busy Aces, with the aces immediately dealt. Like Busy Aces, it's open to interpretation whether the deck fills spaces immediately or at your leisure.
Older descriptions arranged piles vertically, 6 piles on either side of the aces. It was a very tall layout. Several descriptions allow a redeal, which would make it impossible to ever lose an already easy game.
