Superior Canfield solitaire rules (1 deck of cards)<< Super Flower Garden | Tabby Cat >>
Goal: One card is dealt to determine the starting rank for the 'foundation' piles. Move out the other 3 when you can, and build them up to piles of 13 cards each in the same suit. Aces play onto kings.
13 cards are set aside face-up as the 'reserve'. The top card is available for play.
Build the 4 piles of the layout down in alternating suit color. Kings play onto aces. Any number of cards from the top of a pile can be moved. Empty piles can be filled with anything.
Turn over 3 cards at a time from the deck, playing the top card to other piles when you can.
Redeal as often as you wish, returning the waste pile back to the deck.
Also known as: Superior Demon
Variation of: Canfield
Difference: The reserve cards are all dealt face up. Partial piles of cards are allowed to be moved. Empty spaces can be filled by any card, not just those from the reserve.
