The addition of 2 cells (reserve piles) does quite a bit to increase the odds of victory in this variation of "Somerset". However, empty tableau piles are less versatile, allowing only kings into them.
One deck of cards
Object: Play all cards to the foundation.
Tableau: 10 piles.
Rank is built down. Cards must alternate suit color.
If a pile is empty, you can play a king.
You can pick up and play the top card of a pile.
You can move one card, plus another card for every empty cell.
Reserve: 2 piles.
If a pile is empty, you can play any card.
You can pick up and play the top card of a pile.
Foundation: 4 piles.
Play "ace" cards to empty piles.
Rank is built up. Cards must match the same suit.

Difference:
A reserve of 2 cells has been added to offer more ability to maneuver cards.
You can only play kings to empty tableau piles.
