Patriarchs solitaire rules (2 decks of cards)<< Parisienne | Peek >>

Goal: An ace and a king of each suit are set out. Build the aces up to king in the same suit. Build the kings down to ace in the same suit.

9 cards are dealt in a 3x3 layout. There is no building on these cards. All 9 cards are available for play, and replaced from the deck.

Turn over 1 card at a time from the deck, playing the top card when you can.

1 redeal is allowed, returning the waste pile back to the deck.

This game is very similar to Odd and Even, even though the two aren't grouped together in rule books. Like Odd and Even, the skill comes in waiting for an ideal card to turn up on the waste before clearing a spot for it.
