Lucky Thirteen solitaire rules (1 deck of cards)<< Lucas | Manx >>
Goal: Move out the aces when you can and build them up to king in the same suit.
Build the 13 piles of the layout down in alternating suit color. Any number of cards from the top of a pile can be moved. Empty piles can be filled with a king.
Variation of: Baker's Dozen
Difference: The layout deals the first 3 cards of each pile face down, and is built by alternating color rather than any suit. Kings are not moved to the bottom of the pile, but they can be played into empty spaces. Groups of cards can be moved.
Douglas Brown describes this game identical to Baker's Dozen, except that kings do not move to the bottom of the pile. It's makes a win nearly impossible.
You will find these Klondike-style rules described by William A. Moss (published in 1995) to be a far more enjoyable game.
