Granada solitaire rules (2 decks of cards)<< Good Measure | Grand Duchess >>

Goal: An ace and a king of each suit are set out. Build the aces up to king in the same suit. Build the kings down to ace in the same suit.

A layout of 8 piles is dealt, 4 cards to each pile. There is no building on these piles. The top card of each pile is available to play to the foundations (aces and kings), or the waste piles.

Turn over 4 cards at a time from the deck onto 4 waste piles, and build onto the top cards up or down in the same suit from the 8 piles of the layout, or each other. Rank order wraps, so kings and aces can play onto each other. The top card is available to play to the foundations.

2 redeals are allowed, returning the waste piles back to the deck.

Variation of: Alhambra

Difference: There are 4 waste piles rather than just one. You can also play cards from one waste pile to another.

Alhambra has very low odds of winning. This variation from Goodsol increases those odds considerably.

Note that Goodsol also allows any card to play to an empty waste pile (even from another waste pile). To keep the spirit of Alhambra, which does not allow it, that rule has been left out here.
