Fanny solitaire rules (2 decks of cards)<< Fan | Fanny + >>
Goal: Move out the aces when you can and build them up to king in any suit.
12 cards are set aside as the 'fanny', with the top card available for play only to the ace piles.
Turn up one card at a time from the deck and play it if you can, or place it onto any of 5 waste piles, regardless of rank or suit. Once placed, cards can not be moved except to the ace piles.
Also known as: The Reserve
Variation of: Frog
Difference: No aces are immediately dealt. The reserve ('fanny') is dealt 12 cards rather than 13.
These rules are actually for a game called The Reserve, but over time it became known as Fanny. Though similar, these are not the original rules for Fanny.
The original rules do not create a new pile for the fanny. They deal those 12 cards to the first waste pile, essentially giving you one less pile to work with. It's less Frog-like, and harder to win.
This variation uses the original rules: Fanny +

This is one of 6 layouts for Fanny in Solitaire Forever II.
