Falling Star solitaire rules (2 decks of cards)<< Faerie Queen | Fan >>
Goal: One card is dealt to determine the starting rank for the 'foundation' piles. Move out the other 7 cards of the same rank when you can, and build them up to piles of 13 cards in alternating suit color. Aces play onto kings.
11 cards are set aside as the 'stars', which all must 'fall' before the game is won. The top card is available for play only to the foundation piles.
Build the 9 piles of the layout down in alternating suit color. Kings play onto aces. Only the top card of a pile may be moved. Empty piles are filled from the deck.
Turn over 1 card at a time from the deck, playing the top card to other piles when you can.
Variation of: Queen of Italy
Difference: One dealt card determines the starting rank of the foundation piles rather than letting the player choose from 4 cards.
Blondes and Brunettes is the same as this variation, except with one less card in the reserve.
