Double Canfield solitaire rules (2 decks of cards)<< Divorce | Double Canfield (Relaxed) >>
Goal: One card is dealt to determine the starting rank for the 'foundation' piles. Move out the other 7 when you can, and build them up to piles of 13 cards each in the same suit. Aces play onto kings.
13 cards are set aside as the 'reserve', with the top card turned up and available for play.
Build the 5 piles of the layout down in alternating suit color. Only entire piles may be moved onto other piles. You can't move a partial pile. Kings play onto aces.
Empty piles are filled immediately from the reserve. If the reserve is empty, then empty piles may be filled from the deck.
Turn over 3 cards at a time from the deck, playing the top card to other piles when you can.
Redeal as often as you wish, returning the waste pile back to the deck.
Variation of: Canfield
Difference: 2 decks of cards are used, doubling the number of foundations to 8. The layout has 5 piles rather than 4.
This also has its own variations: American Toad, Double Canfield (Relaxed)
