Bristol solitaire rules (1 deck of cards)<< Brigade | British Square >>

Goal: Move out the aces when you can and build them up to king in any suit.

Build the 8 piles of the layout down in any suit. Only the top card of a pile may be moved. Empty piles can not be filled.

During the deal, kings are moved to the bottom of the pile.

Turn over 3 cards at a time from the deck onto 3 waste piles. The top cards are available for play.

Morehead & Mott-Smith invented this game with traditional stacked waste piles. David Parlett suggests spreading out the waste piles so that you don't have to try to memorize which cards have gone by. You can make better decisions based on where cards have been buried, and which ones are still in the deck.
