Accordion solitaire rules (1 deck of cards)<< Above and Below | Aces Up >>
Goal: Consolidate the entire deck into a single pile.
Turn up cards from the deck one at a time into one continuous spread, performing moves along the way.
Move any card to the card below it or to 3 cards below it, if they match the same rank or the same suit.
Also known as: Idle Year, Methuselah, Tower of Babel
This is a very difficult game to win. Sheila Anne Barry and Alfred Sheinwold both agree that you should consider it a victory to reduce the layout to a 5-card spread or less. Try to plan ahead which 4 cards will be the last to play.
