This relative of "Grandfather" comes from an old German book under the title "Die Schlaue" (The Sly).
Two decks of cards
Object: Play all cards to the foundation.
Tableau: 20 piles.
Only the waste can play to here.
You can play any card here regardless of rank or suit.
You can pick up and play the top card of a pile.
You can not play from the tableau while there are still cards in the waste.
Stock: Holds the 82 undealt cards.
Plays 20 cards face up to the waste.
The waste must be empty before the stock can play to it.
Before any play from the stock has begun, the stock will play to empty tableau piles.
Waste: Discard pile.
Only the stock can play to here.
You can pick up and play the top card.
If a waste card is played to a foundation pile, it will be replaced by another card from the stock.
Foundation: 4 piles.
The first pile is dealt a base card.
Play "ace" cards to empty piles.
Rank is built up. Cards must match the same suit.
